FLUKE FISHING TRIP

 
 
When: August 7, 2014

Time: 3:00 PM
(Please meet at boat dock at 2:30 PM) 

Where:  Captree State Park

3500 Ocean Parkway
Babylon, NY

To Board the Vessel "YANKEE III"
For a four hour fishing experience

Cost : - $30 Per Person

Progam: Come join us this summer for the 8th Annual fishing trip sponsored by the Young
Professionals and Operators Committee. 
Ocean or Bay fishing will be determined by the Captain on the day of the trip.

All members and potential new members are welcome to join us.

The boat has a limited capacity (60 participates) and will be first come first served.

Please Note: Food and Beverages are included with the payment.

Environmental Sciences Committee Summer Field Trip


Carmans River Canoe Trip
w/ Stream Ecology and Wildlife Commentary

 
 
When: August 15, 2014

Time: 8:30 AM


Where"
K-9 Gate"
just north of Exit 67 of the LIE on Yaphank Avenue.
(Look for canoes on the right side of the road)

We will canoe approx. 3 miles south through Southhaven Park, break for lunch
in the Park and continue south through Wertheim National Wildlife Refuge.



Cost : - NYWEA Members - $50 Per Person
Non-Members - $70 Per Person
Children (12 and under) - $20 Per Child

(2-adult or 2-adult/1 child canoe with lunch included)


(Kayaks are available for $10 Extra Cost)

Topic: Ms. Michelle Williams of Wertheim National Wildlife Refuge will provide an ecological and historical
perspective regarding the Carmans River, as well as a brief tour of the
Refuge and its newly renovated (2012) visitor center.


Lunch:
There will be a choice of sandwich, salad and beverage.
